Natural Areas Conservancy Event

New York, NY (November 12, 2015) Amid a sea of guests, environmental champions Anisa Kamadoli Costa and Ed Henry were honored for their efforts within the field.  A group of more than 60 gathered in The J.M. Kaplan Fund’s office to celebrate Ed and Anisa’s contributions, and conversation flowed throughout the space while onlookers mingled and shared insights about their own work in environmental conservation.

The evening was accentuated with speeches given by Amy Freitag, Executive Director of The J.M. Kaplan Fund, and Adrian Benepe, Chairman of the Natural Areas Conservancy.  Ms. Freitag spoke of the great leadership that Ed and Anisa exhibit, and the partnerships that have grown out of their efforts.  Mr. Benepe remarked upon the commitment that the honorees made to addressing environmental and urban ecological issues, and emphasized the impact that their early dedication to funding organizations, such as the NAC, has had on conserving NYC’s often-forgotten wetlands and forests.

Anisa Kamadoli Costa currently serves as Chairman and President of The Tiffany & Co. Foundation and Chief Sustainability Officer at Tiffany & Co. Ed Henry is president and CEO of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.  To learn more about the event and the honorees, you can click here to find the Press Release commissioned by the Natural Areas Conservancy and posted by The Tiffany & Co Foundation.
